We were delighted to be asked to photograph Susan & Phil’s wedding day and were particularly looking forward to it as we knew so many of the people there – we’d previously photographed the weddings of two of Susan’s sisters. Such a huge compliment to be asked to cover this wonderful day too. On this occasion, the ceremony and reception were held at Hopetoun House. A venue we know particularly well as our studio is based there!
Susan and her bridesmaids started their preparations for the day, all together at Susan’s parents home. Jackie was there to capture the fun, excitement and anticipation….
All of the floral designs for Susan & Phil’s day were created by Planet Flowers. As ever, they produced something very special.
Whilst on the other side of Edinburgh, Phil, with his best man and ushers all prepared together….
Alan was on hand to photograph some of their morning too. It’s one of the great advantages of having both of us photographing your wedding – we can be in two places at once!
We were joined on the day by our brilliant colleages Steve & Stuart at Cherry Tree Films. Like us, they worked away quietly and unobtrusively.
The Autumn colours were at their very best, so Susan & Phil took a few minutes for some time together in the grounds of Hopetoun House.
The ballroom at Hopetoun looked stunning. Thanks to the combined talents of Planet Flowers and Heritage Portfolio. It’s always a joy to work with such creative professionals.
Heritage Portfolio designed a unique menu, that not only looked beautiful, but tasted amazing too.
A suprise interruption by Incognito Singing Waiters had everyone joining in the singing and many of the actions as well..
Phil surprised everyone, including Susan, by singing part of his speech – and what a voice he has too!
The evening entertainment was provided by Callanish. Whilst some danced, others had great fun in the Photobooth.
